When the school says no, how to get the yes!

This title of this book is misleading as the contents are a wonderful structure for family and school collaboration when building IEP programs. The point is not that the school says yes, but that families and schools work together to ensure children are effectively progressing.

The individualized stories shared in this book helped me see the bigger picture because I often find it so difficult to see objectively my own situation . To collaborate is not to negotiate...

As a special education teacher, I am always working on creating excellent communication between myself (school) and home (parents/guardians). Having a child needing services can hinder such communication.
